Description:F1 2016 is a racing game that is based on the 2016 Formula One season, developed by Codemasters. The game is the eighth installment in the F1 franchise developed by Codemasters.
The first gameplay footage from F1 2016 was shown at E3 2016 by Codemasters. Then on June 16, 2016, the developers released the 1st video of the city of Baku at the Renault Circuit by Jolyon Palmer and Red Bull Racing Daniel Ricciardo ahead of the 2016 European Grand Prix just a day before the start of the race weekend. It was followed by 3 more on board video laps in Austin, Interlagos and Montreal featuring the Haas F1 Team.
Codemasters has announced that players will now be able to play a redesigned career mode, consisting of ten full seasons, rather than the five seasons of previous games. The game will also include all twenty-one circuits from the 2016 season, including the brand new Baku City Circuit, and all eleven teams and twenty-two drivers competing in the championship, including debutants Haas.
Another new feature added to the game is that switching between daytime timings, also labeled as the time of day editor, players will now be able to control the circuit during the daytime or at dusk or at noon... etc, in addition there will be a command hospitality areas, as well as options to customize helmet designs for career mode. Codemasters also stated that there are many more features that will be announced in the coming weeks. In addition, players will witness revised and improved cars, as well as the induction of a Virtual Safety Car.
The game developer has introduced a brand new feature and one of the most famous ones in which players will be able to play a significant role in the R&D of their teams in the career mode. Unlike previous games where players simply used to earn a certain upgrade in career mode during the season, this time players will have to earn R&D credits which will later help them get an upgrade for their car. Players will need to complete track tests, improving their strategy and bus control and circuit mastery, and in turn earn R&D points to spend on upgrades for their cars.
