Everything about Knights of Honor 2, a medieval empire-building strategy, is familiar. Great customization tabs, decent interface, and perfectly working gameplay. There is little original or innovative about it. Not that there's anything wrong with that. You are positioned as the ruler of a medieval kingdom. You wage war, develop your cities and suck your powerful neighbors while beating up your weak ones. As a ruler, you can appoint up to nine knights to help manage imperial affairs.
Knights of Honor 2 borrows heavily from the Middle Ages: Total War and Lords of the Realm. Although the tutorial advises you to shape this board to suit your playstyle, you usually find it full of marshals and rarely post builders. If your king is unlucky enough to die without an heir, a new king is chosen from that lot.
