Rebel Galaxy Outlaw is a prequel to the original Rebel Galaxy game.
Rebel Galaxy Outlaw features a full-fledged story campaign with revenge, double betrayals and unexpected new friends. In addition, the plot takes place in an excellent setting: imagine the southern states of the United States in the early 90s, which were suddenly transported into space.
The game has several radio stations and over 20 hours of licensed music. And here everything is as it should be: viscous meaty stoner, cheerful punk, soulful country, a little bit of jazz.
At stations and planets you can not only sell goods, talk to the bartender and pick up quests from NPCs, but also play poker or billiards. Moreover, not only money can be used as bets, but also, for example, guns or the last shields for your starship. In general, a real southerner in space.
In addition to unraveling the detective tangle, in Rebel Galaxy Outlaw you can do everything that is supposed to be in a modern space sim. There are activities such as piracy, pirate extermination, smuggling, fair trade, escort missions, escorting merchants, mining mineral resources in asteroid fields, and so on.
The graphics and sound effects are impressive - you will never think that this is indie. At the same time, all the dialogues are voiced, for which Double Damage even had to invite relatives. For example, an emotionless AI reporting something like “torpedo on the starboard side” is the wife of the studio head.
