The game focuses on four main game mechanics:

Survival:

Fight against survival needs such as: Thirst, Hunger, Sleep and Natural Needs.
Beware of conditions such as: Infection, Bleeding, Fractures, Exhaustion and Hypothermia.
Collect materials and conduct research on items to produce medical supplies.
Feel the mortal pain of suffocation.

Crafting:

Create survival items or your next weapon of mass destruction using a 3D printer and Bio Connector
Recycle useless trash into more valuable materials to create items.
Mine rare ore or grow vegetables using a mine or farm. Process them to obtain rarer materials.
Gain access to advanced items through research. Create your own laser sword!

Intelligence service:

Explore randomly generated sublevels just like manually created ones.
Explore the area through a non-linear story-telling experience.
Walk through an open world where you decide where to go next.
Restore the viability of the colony by repairing the oxygen and temperature generators.

The battle:

Fight for your life using melee and ranged weapons.
Customize your small arms using a progressive modular system.
Set up a race against time, simulating the spread of infection throughout the Mars colony.
Mutants will evolve over time, so destroy them while they are in the cocoon stage!
Fiercely defend the generator at all costs or die in battle against the mutant invasion.
